The courses in this Academy are designed for a variety of ways to work with animals. Take one course or a few. 

If you want to do a full program, it would require a series of course completions over the span of 18-24 months.

Courses = 6 weeks - earn an artifact/certificate (subject to school approval)
Programs = 18-24 months - earn an artifact/certificate of completion (subject to school approval)

Each option is delivered by an Educator who is a certified Veterinary Science teacher, a certified Veterinary Technician, and who has been in the industry for almost 3 decades.

Animal Behavior and Training Foundations

6-12 months

Animal Behavior & Training Foundations provides students with a comprehensive introduction to animal behavior, learning theory, and humane training methods. Students will explore animal communication, enrichment, behavior assessment, and positive reinforcement techniques while developing the knowledge and skills that prepare them for future education and careers in animal behavior, training, and welfare.

Animal Business and Entrepreneurship Foundations

6-12 months

Animal Business & Entrepreneurship Foundations prepares students to turn their passion for animals into a successful business or career. Students will explore business planning, marketing, customer service, financial management, and entrepreneurship within the animal industry while developing professional skills applicable to a variety of animal-related careers.

Animal Care Foundations

6-12 months

Animal Care Foundations introduces students to the principles of responsible animal care across a variety of species. Through the study of animal health, nutrition, handling, housing, sanitation, and welfare, students will build a strong foundation for continued education and careers in veterinary medicine, animal care, shelters, grooming, and related fields.

Humane Animal Care Foundations

6-12 months

Humane Animal Care Foundations explores the principles of humane education, animal welfare, shelter operations, advocacy, and responsible animal stewardship. Students will examine the relationship between people and animals while developing the knowledge and compassion needed to promote the health, safety, and well-being of animals in their communities and beyond.

Pet Grooming Foundations

6-12 months

Pet Grooming Foundations introduces students to the science and art of professional pet grooming. Students will explore breed identification, coat types, skin health, grooming techniques, animal handling, salon safety, sanitation, client communication, and business fundamentals while building a strong foundation for future education and careers in the grooming industry.

Pre-Veterinary Foundations

2 years

Pre-Veterinary Foundations provides students with a rigorous introduction to the sciences, skills, and professional responsibilities that support a future in veterinary medicine. Through the study of biology, animal science, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, ethics, and veterinary concepts, students will develop a strong academic foundation for post-secondary pre-veterinary and veterinary education.

Veterinary Assistant Foundations

12-18 months

Veterinary Assistant Foundations prepares students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills commonly used in veterinary practices. Students will explore animal handling and restraint, medical terminology, clinical procedures, laboratory basics, client communication, infection control, and veterinary office operations while building a strong foundation for entry-level veterinary assisting and continued education.

Veterinary Technology Foundations

2 years

Veterinary Technology Foundations introduces students to the knowledge, clinical concepts, and technical skills that support the veterinary technician profession. Students will study anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, diagnostic procedures, nursing care, laboratory techniques, radiology concepts, and professional ethics while preparing for future post-secondary veterinary technology education.

Wildlife and Exotic Animal Care Foundations

6-12 months

Wildlife & Exotic Animal Care Foundations introduces students to the unique care, management, and conservation of wildlife and exotic animal species. Students will explore anatomy, husbandry, nutrition, enrichment, conservation, ethics, and animal welfare while gaining a strong foundation for future education and careers in zoos, aquariums, wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, and exotic animal care.
