CTA is the academy/enrollment hub. Each Educator leads a specialized Academy or career pathway within CTA.

Certified Educators

Each of our Educators are fully certified in their subject matter after years in industry. 

Artifacts and Certificates

Each course and program helps align students to ACT158 and career pathways toward graduation and beyond.

Potential Graduation Artifacts & Career Pathway Alignment
Courses and programs are designed to support career exploration and may provide artifacts that students can submit to their home school for consideration toward graduation requirements. Final approval, credit, and placement decisions are made by the student's home/sending school.

Elective Credits and Autonomy

Each program you commit to may earn you elective credits toward graduation. And since our Educators are certified through the Department of Education, you can potentially complete these programs in school or at home (per school's permissions).

Career & Trades Academy is an online career education platform connecting middle and high school students with experienced industry professionals.

Students enroll through CTA and choose courses or programs from specialized Academies offering career exploration, industry-specific learning, and longer-term career pathways.

Register

Register for courses and programs in your selected school via Career and Trades Academy. Start your future career goals today!

These schools and their courses/programs are available to Middle School (grades 7-8) and High School (grades 9-12) students.

Availability of courses and programs to specific grades is dependent upon each Educator's discretion. 

Courses are 6 weeks in length and are an introduction to a concept or industry career path.

Programs are more involved and require a commitment to longer courses, possible hands-on skills, and assessments like projects, comprehensive reports, and more. Typically, full programs run for up to 2 years. 

Most certificates earned can count as artifacts toward graduation under PA ACT158.
