Ms. Katie Smith
Ms. Katie holds a BS in Animal Science/minor in Business with 30 years of experience in the Veterinary industry. After returning to school and earning teaching certificates in both Biology and Veterinary Science, Ms. Katie has created two in-person Vet Science courses (one which made VetSci a Program of Study with a standardized task list) and one online course - the first of it's kind!
Ms. Katie has been in the classroom since 2008, earning a Masters in Humane Education, a Masters in Business Administration, a CVT (Certified Vet Tech) license, and is currently enrolled in an online Masters in Veterinary Science program. In her free time, Ms. Katie is a mom, pet mom, and owns a pet-based grooming business.Ms. Katie is only one of 10 Vet Science certified teachers in the entire state of PA, truly bringing her students a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and earn industry insider information with the certificates to prove it!Career and Trades Academy is Ms. Katie's way of bringing the future of employability training and opportunity into the homes of students across the state and beyond!
